Usually, yeah, unless there’s likely to something to celebrate on day 23. Some stick around, but most want family and to escape the 24/7 nature of it cos they’re probably in a grump. Depends where they live, but been tougher this time to just book flights on a whim.

all the time - thankfully most dietary requirements considered in advance and prepared en bloc with that in mind. Always swapping between teams too. We try mix it up, but some people decide to do it themselves

have you had a nice time?

Yeah they do! I watched the food doc about the Mitchelton-Scott chef at the tour (on Amazon) , she makes them all special sandwiches with their fillings and they mix them up anyway.

Could have been so much better, but yeah, wouldn’t have swapped the last month for any other.

What sort of number of people are on the staff of each time for a grand tour? Is there a big difference between the big teams and the invitees?

Everyone pretty equal, the PCT teams that get invited are all but WT in name with regards to set-up. Usual rule of thumb is 2 staff per rider plus DSs and doctors to make 30.

Are you really just sat in your pants in your garden in Winch?

Who said anything about pants?

Dinner?

Breakfast and I’m in. Would kill for a fry up tbh. Baguette, leerdammer and a yoghurt is NOT the kickstart to a day I want
