Highest placed in a break is a Jakub Omrzel, a 20 year old Slovenian. Would be quite incredible for a Slovenian to take red and it not to be Roglic.

Had a good couple of days watching stages 11 and 12 with @Cristaltips. Made it onto the TV on stage 12:
Went to the start and finish of stage 11. Stage 12 plans to go to the finish were thwarted by road closures from the afternoon of the day before so we decided to go to and earlier climb instead. Was really quiet and we had a feeding zone almost to ourselves so managed to get EF and Astana bidons plus Soudal and EF musettes.
Also managed to complete our ‘meeting presenters of the Cycling Podcast’ side quest having met Richard Moore and Lionel Bernie in the past.
Larry Warbasse was lovely and super friendly.

Aand here’s the swag to prove it. The EF musette was full of gel’s and chew bars and the bidons were full but we didn’t drink them!

Why is friebos all wet or sweaty? 
(it looks seriously hot there when watching on tv)
In his words the heat was ‘absolutely savage’. It was 35 ish and 70% humidity so everyone was sweaty just from walking around the buses. It’s beyond my understanding how humans can push out 250W all day in that heat.

Now Pog’s won it, Brennan’s surely got a Milan San Remo win in him. The way he’s been riding this race, climbs so well, gapping everyone in the sprints, so impressive.

Who cares that pog wasn’t there, he barely put a foot wrong in 3 weeks and has been mega consistent for like 10 years whilst winning nothing
also very funny to see Movistar winning a grand tour as well, with perfect tactics

I definitely enjoyed this Vuelta more once it became Pog-free. Great to see Wout and Matthew Brennan smashing stage wins. Mas very much deserved the win, his wins don’t reflect his ability, and that’s largely a Movistar issue I believe.
Then there were the underdogs. Poor Mikel Landa actually winning something was mind-boggling. Eddie Dunbar back on form.
In a minor fucking it on my part, on stage 20 the Bahrain rider Pau Miquel was in amongst the action and I kept thinking Rob Hatch was referring to ‘poor Mikel’ as in Landa. Took me a while to work it out.

World Champs starting next week is it? Missed the whole Belta so intrigued for this. Bit sad the Poglifyer won’t be there for the mens but as someone said up there would be great to see our Wout in the rainbow next year.
Cant decide if I’d like Seixas to win, because it’d be cool but the press will go into absolute fucking meltdown!
Del Toro looks good. Won the dress rehearsal this weekend.
