But bikes were custom fit and they actually used their lumbar muscles to ride up hill.

Fuck knows how they did it. I used to ride 52x39 23/12 and that was bad enough. Rode the Aubisque with a 50/25T which was fine.

fuckin’ doper

Paedo sympathiser (David Walsh, not you)

oh shit, really?!

Yeah. An Irish journalist was recently convicted for grooming and paedo stuff. Walsh wrote the judge a letter saying how much of a nice guy he was to try and get his sentence reduced.

AFAIK he continued to support him after he was charged but not sure.

Jeez. Got a 34x32 as my granny ring. Only drop into it on really nasty stuff but glad it’s there

fucking hell.

34x25 was my max for years. Loved it. Riding 36x28 now which is fine, even for a slow fat fuck bloke myself

Yeah. Probably best not to use him as a good judge of character. He thinks Froome is clean FFS

Gonna swap the 11-32 out for a 11-28 in the summer on mine. The jump between the 32 and the 28 is ridiculous and you lose loads of power so it doesn’t even help! 11-30 would be better spread, think SRAM do those?

Really don’t think that you gain anything at all with anything over 28. It might seem easier, but you’re probably spending more energy spinning a very high cadence. That’s why triples are shit 52x40x30, you lose all power.

SRAM do an 11-30 which would probably be about right on those nasty steep bits in the peaks, but it’s £185!

oops

Really wouldn’t bother with a 32 @TontonZolaMoukoko, you definitely don’t need it. I barely do these days. When I use it, it’s only because it’s there, not because I actually need it.
