Quirky vintage shops in the UK

Me and my daughter like going to vintage shops. The one’s that have all sorts of stuff from years gone by. From large emporiums to diddy ones. Do you know of any? I’m near Manchester but would travel as far as Birmingham/ Leeds. Week off next week so thought it’d be a nice thing to do.
Muchas gracias.

Went to a great one recently on holiday in North Wales. Massive inside, all sorts of stuff. Bit out of your way.

Blurry phone screen grab gives you a real feeling of being there.

There’s the Vintage Emporium at Pear Mill in Stockport if you haven’t already been there. Hebden Bridge has a few antiques and vintage places, and decent charity shops.

Think I could manage that with a trip to Liverpool.

Pear Mill is where all this started! Hebden bridge is a good shout ta.

yeh pear mill is great - although the choice gets smaller every time i go there is a street in matlock that has (had?) loads and always fun for a rummage

Bygone Times in Eccleston, Lancashire may be of interest to you. A few miles off J27 of the M6.

Was going to suggest Botany Bay in Chorley too, but looking for the website just now revealed it closed in 2019. Did not know that :grimacing:

Nice one, thank you.

Flea Circus in Newcastle is great, although it isn’t in the city centre - about a twenty minute walk away from the main station.

There’s also Bibelot Nook in Ouseburn, which is more of a furniture place but has other bits.

Also a load of vintage clothes shops in the city centre.

That’s looks decent. Might be a little too far, we’ll have to see. Cheers

You probably know it but accidentally stumbled into this place down on chorlton rd. Absolutely full of old junk, great for a dig.

I didn’t know about this. Thanks for the heads up

It’s handy for cool runnings or Kim by the Sea for food too.

If you’re on public transport you’re probably best to get a 42 142 43 143, then get off at the MMU and walk down Stretford road to get to Chorlton road.

They do DVDs for 20p, or did last time I went in. Bought about a hundred and left them in the garage, but one day I’ll watch them.

There’s a place around the corner from it called the Wesley Centre, same sort of thing but smaller. And theres a big place opposite Old Trafford tram stop which I’ve got a few bargains in. Primarily furniture places, but you get all sorts of odds and sods.
