Cool interview with Mike
Here’s what we’re getting on the Up reissue then. Not a fan of the updated colour scheme I have to say.
Finally
Will def give it a listen for the craic.
Radio Free Europe sure to be a treat.
Nice attention to detail with all the R.E.M. posters in the Wuxtry window imo.
(Reckon Dolenz was secretly a part of the dis R.E.M. listening club )
This is the doc and presumably it’s the same version.
Shame there isn’t more ‘stuff’. Some of the screen projections/films on the New Adventures… Blu Ray were amazing. I do love This Way Up though.
I think the new Up looks really lovely and I’d have been interested to hear the demo’s but I’m not paying that for a live disc and a blu ray I’ll never watch.
Remastered Daysleeper plus a live version from 99
Just got this on. Lovely vocal on the live version, but not sure about the organ/keyboard.
Heads up if anyone’s thinking of buying the vinyl - the US web store has more copies of the green vinyl in. With the cheapo $9 shipping option, the total cost is roughly equivalent to getting the standard black vinyl from most U.K. based shops - around £40 (yes, still ridiculous obvs)
Nice, just ordered a copy. Thanks.
Hopefully we’ll get them by Christmas!
Maybe they’ll play a few gig to promot—
damn.
We’re all looking forward to the Around the Sun reissue in 2029 right?
I think them just having slipped Around The Sun and Collapse Into Now reissues out with little fanfare means they are absolutely not going to go big on those anniversaries.
I’m not going to fall for it this time. I still have the original special edition box set for that album with the individual pull outs for each song. That was a smart purchase by young me.
Oh cool, didn’t know this existed. I bought the shitty digipack where they couldn’t even be bothered to put a slot in the cover to to hold the booklet in. Just looked up the posters, some big names of 00’s illustration there, I liked Camille Rose Garcia so nice to see she did the one for I Wanted To Be Wrong
Yeah I’d have had that on my wall
I’ve not bought vinyl for an age but I might pick up an Up, sadly that really pretty green one seems to have sold out now.
Was really hoping for some Up demos, it’s my favourite low-key R.E.M. album
