One of my favourite things about the Up/Reveal era (and the only redeemable thing about that album that came after) is Stipe’s singing - his voice and delivery were probably at their peak around this time
Speaking of Reveal this was the last truly great thing they did IMO.
snagged a cd copy of Reckoning (apparently a mid-90s pressing) and it sounds superb. Have been doing all my listening on headphones lately but this is so nice

Yep, they don’t do anything by halves and are expecting this new series will take them a year and a half to cover everything they want to (with one episode each week). Album discussion usually run across two episodes.

Live disc with the Up reissue is great. Really ragged, loads of chat from Stipe, so much energy. There’s even a rendition of ‘I’m Not Over You’ with him on guitar!
