find it hard to believe this is meant to be the hip and with it radio choice when they’re still pushing paramore and 1975 like they’re a copy of the nme ten years ago

Actually made the effort to listen to all of these, although tbh didn’t make it all the way through some of the tracks.

By Hottest they just mean favourite don’t they? Nothing here that is pushing boundaries or sounds fresh.

Seems like a decent representation of popular music though doesn’t it?

They do a daily (maybe weekly) feature with the “hottest” record which is just something new and popular…think this list is the best of that from the year.

Seems fair enough for a radio 1 audience.
