i’m a big fan of talking to random dogs/cats as if they’re human, like ‘ALRIGHT M8!’, great stuff

think a lot of cats are just like that with strangers really, but i occasionally meet some quite affectionate ones, where you try to get their attention and they suddenly come bounding over to you meowing. the other day one came over to me and started immediately rolling around on her back, it was the best

There’s a walk I do down by the river that has loads of geese about. The dominant males like to hiss at you and I always enjoy cheerfully calling ‘alright geesy’ at them. The other night a jogger passed me just as I did it :flushed:

Tend to find that the nicer the neighbourhood the more trusting the cats are. Don’t know why I’m that bothered, I’m very allergic to the blighters.

If I like the look of the dog I will try to coax it away from its owners until it becomes mine.

Think only other dogs would even notice the smell

What about a dog with no nose?

A dog ran up to me while I was on a run yesterday and ran alongside me for a bit and I waved at him and said “hello mate” and the owner was yelling at the dog to come back but I really liked that dog.

Are you calling me a dog?!

never maliciously but my dog chews my hands if she needs a shite, so

Effective means of communication, that

it is once we figured it out. we call her bitey shitey

it depends , if the dog is coming up to you being friendly then the owner’s got no right to complain if you pet them have they?

Hmm, I thought I’d remembered someone saying the opposite on here but you’re probably right.

it’d be very hypocritical if they did, maybe some people don’t like dogs coming bounding up to them? not to mention other dogs.
