It’s nearly the August bank holiday and surprising there are still weekend tickets and day tickets for Saturday and Sunday available for this year’s festival
Some sets are also being broadcast on BBC - will you be tuning in? Chappell Roan and Bring Me the Horizon will both be on TV and others on iPlayer
I’m there all weekend and shared some of my picks from the line up - who are your must sees on the line up?
If I had a ticket, I’d go see High Vis, Mannequin Pussy and Origami Angel and then spend the rest of the weekend in the campsite drinking warm cans and shouting BOLLOCKS!!!
Going tomorrow and Saturday, but very unimpressed with what they’ve done to the festival.
For example, in 2019, there was a choice of around 240 acts over the weekend, weekend tickets were £215, which is around £265 after inflation, so that’s about £1.10 per act. This year there are around 150 acts for £315 which is about £2.10 per act, coupled with there being a much larger percentage of acts that haven’t even released an album.
The Introducing stage used to be the 7th biggest stage, now it’s the 4th.
There used to be between 3 and 5 acts on at headliner time, now there’s absolutely nothing except maybe a DJ in bar if you don’t want to see Travis Scott or Bring Me The Horizon, and only The Chats if you don’t want to watch Hozier.
Ah tits I didn’t realise Chappell wasn’t headlining - I wanted to take my niece but thought it would be too much of a hassle getting back. Waaaah. Hope she never finds out.
I’m disappointed they didn’t repeat last year’s gubbins where they posted all over social media that Reading had sold out a day or two before the festival, despite tickets still being readily available.
