Isn’t the campsite still completely feral though? Whether people are drinking or not.
It seemed fine at 1am, loud obv but no trouble from what i could see.

They should do a breathalyser on the arena gates. If youre less than 4 cans deep, back to the campsite and get topped up

If fairness, it wouldn’t work if they tried. Glastonbury’s been failing for the best part of 15 years. If they can succeed in one place, maybe they can spread it to another camp with a similar ethos next year instead.

My Facebook feed has suddenly been flooded with posts about how bad the camping was at Reading this year, in terms of idiots making it horrible for each other. Things like big gangs marauding though the quiet campsite, tent slashings, knifepoint robberies. I thought it was bad enough when I used to go. We got a hotel every year after the one where two lads fell onto our tent, fighting…
Reading 2005 put me off festivals for years because of how grim the camping was.

It had ggot much better in the years since I last camped in 2910. Campfire bans helped, but I saw a bunch shit online preemting “camp wars” and I hate that it’s arching again. I blame the organisers for buying into the viral trend demographic, and reducing the amount of music.

My daughter went and luckily saw none of this and had an amazing time even though it’s her first wet muddy one. Pleased she came back last night though.

I’m glad she avoided it. I’m also sure most people want to avoid it, but dickhead lad culture is back.
Very annoying if it’s creeping in there. Didn’t suffer much at 2KT, but maybe they come out in the cooler conditions.

Things had apparently gotten much better since “my day”. Sounds like every generation forgets the lessons eventually… that last point…
