Really big acts that have dropped off the cultural radar

Inspired by my 17-year old daughter not knowing who U2 were, and on being prompted, saying “oh yeah, that’s the guy from Inhaler’s dad”. I fear R.E.M. are going the same way. Who else?

Muse headlined Reading and Leeds, probably wouldn’t find many Gen Z’s into them now

Equally wouldn’t surprise me if they have a weirdly large young audience. In general, early 2000s chart rock music seems to be holding up pretty well for streaming numbers at the moment

Hadn’t occurred to me until reading something earlier that it’s not unfeasible that Mariah Carey’s non-Christmas songs may soon disappear from the consciousness.

Scoring the next Tron film for Disney, and as NIN rather than Trent and Atticus. Got a fair bit of attention from younger people off the back of producing Halsey’s album a year or two back. They still have a pretty broad reach.

Going to see them in December.

In Wolverhampton.
