Go on, do it.
I think @TAFH33 would like Less by Deathcrash but I might be wrong and if I am that’s fine, it’s the thought that counts right?

Oh I’d been meaning to go back to this but completely forgot about it, I’m going to give it another shot. I listened once and it sort of washed over me (that doesn’t really mean anything, first listens almost always do) - thanks for the reminder!
And great thread idea.
@JaguarPirate - have you heard the Colin Miller’s Haw Creek yet? (He engineered albums for MJ Lenderman and Wednesday, fwiw). There are some elements of Charlie Martin / Hovvdy and the quieter Strange Ranger EP stuff (and maybe even Jeff Tweedy or Talons’ at times?) but it kind of has that lofi windswept / washed out Microphones thing going on too over a lot of it. It’s sneakily become one of my favorites of the year.
This one’s probably the most upbeat and in line with those main references:
Track 4, I think this is the first one that really sold me:
Not even heard of, but a load of good reference points. I’ll be going in
Garage/soul/electronica
It’s very good
@Konichiwa_Bitches try this slice of bittersweet glitch pop
I think @Avery might enjoy the Viagra Boys meets Turnstile vibes of this Spiritual Cramp album.
Just gave the first few songs a listen and you might well be right.
Very thoughtful multi platform link
it’s The Music Board Way ™
Here’s an album I forgot to share in the weekly release thread at the time - suspect it might not have had much audience here but imagine it will be appreciated by a few - I think it’s brilliant and am surprised it’s not been more widely discussed.
Released on Lisbon’s Príncipe label, this is an impeccably crafted electro-acoustic exploration of natural ambient rhythms from a young artist from São Tomé and Príncipe and recent graduate of London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama. It’s a great headphones album for those who enjoy a bit of experimental ambient, fourth world and just fun sound design. Have seen reviews suggest FFO Arthur Russel and Laurel Halo and think that works just about - not calling out one specific Diser but can think of many who should consider checking this out.
@TAFH33 this knotty moody guitar goodness
Oh yeah, didn’t miss it but I love this album. The opening and closing sequences are great in particular. He sounds so much like Rick Maguire of Pile, it’s crazy.
@paulo and all other jazz cats,
Just realised there was an International Anthem album on December that nobody mentioned in here, I certainly missed it at least. Synth-based polyrhythms with a downbeat Cuban lilt, if I’m reading the blurb right. The guy is a drummer who has played on albums by the likes of Bex Burch and Anna Butters though seems to be leaving the kit behind on this one.
