What's that sound? I like that sound. I love that sound. It's the sound of my shoes(gaze thread 2016)! Previous years: 2015: http://drown...

^ This.
Gonna be right up yer man’s street innit!
I’d say so, aye. It’s v.v.v.good.
you tried the new preoccupations record?
Read the old DiS rolling shoegaze thread:

or failing that, the new one (which I’ve re-started because there wasn’t one…):
So, my last post from the old thread to dovetail into new posts for this one: Jaguwar have produced a decent EP this year, wearing their influences on their sleeves, but there’s quite a bit of attitude and punch in their two EPs: First EP (from last year) is here: Second EP (II) is here: Better still is the news that Panda Riot have a new one coming soon (Infinity Maps) previewed by this track: [Panda Riot - Helios (June 20th)]
The Lucid Dream
Ringo Deathstarr
Spectres
Braids
Daughter
LOWER DENS
Deerhunter
Probably be something of interest in there.
Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation would be worth a try
All of them are great (though I don’t know Lucid Dream)!
Have you heard that spectres remix lp?
I saw Rain recently, kind of noisey shoegazey stuff. 2, maybe 3 releases so far.
No I haven’t. Worth checking out?
I was hoping you’d provide the answer
I really liked the Mogwai one (kicking a dead pig), so it can work, even for very guitar heavy bands…
I’ve just stuck it on now. First two remixes are a bit too industrial noise-scape for me. The Hookworms one is sounding good so far.
Will give it a go this afternoon…
Highly recommend checking out The Lucid Dream s/t. The new one is great too but not really given it my full attention yet.
Cheere all for the recommendations. Actually quite getting into Flyying colours
My brother actually recommended Flyying Colours the other week. Not listened to them yet though. I’ll give them a go at some point.
