My girlfriend and I cycling from London to Dusseldorf and back to watch Kraftwerk and the start of the Tour de France. When getting to mainland Europe we’ll be arriving an returning from the Hook of Holland.

About 80% of the journey is though Holland, which we’ve both cycled around numerous times before, so on the way back we’re looking to take a route more through Germany. Are there any towns/villages/sites/museums/breweries etc worth visiting along this bit of the route?

I don’t know, BUT

please recommend places to visit in Belgium because I am doing the exact same thing as this except ANTWERP.

Are you going from Hook of Holland or Calais/Dunkirk? I’ve done both routes a few times and can make some recommendations depending on which way you’re entering Antwerp from.

As an aside, yesterday I could edit my posts (for typos) and today I can’t - why is that?!

Arriving from Calais I expect. Our initial thought was to go to Roubaix and have a ride around the velodrome and then immediately head into Belgium. We’ve probably got just over a week of noodling about before we have to be in Antwerp, then 5 days after before heading home, if that makes sense.

Come come, Niki, we all know Bike Wankers are pretty bad but I think with ‘twerp’ you’re being a bit hard on yourself.
