I just let my mistakes stand although would do it if it was a confidential/highly sensitive message
The last one was I meant to send “dinner’s ready” to the house chat but sent it to my cricket mates one instead. Could’ve deleted it but just took the bants
I will say though that a redacted WhatsApp message was how I found out someone famous lives on my road

I never normally redact any messages but the other night I forgot Messenger was down and sent a picture followed by a comment and the picture failed to send but the comment sent and I got a confused reply from someone so I just got rid and sent it again later
makes me so paranoid when people do this, hate it

I have adopted a radical solution to the redaction paranoia, which is to have no friends who WhatsApp me/no friends
That’s not entirely true, one of my old schoolfriends WhatsApped me a parody nu-metal song the other day, which was thoughtful
