Yeah! I use them all of the time. I have a few faves but I really like most of them (brazillinut is my fave but its an online exclusive so don’t get it all the time but makes it so soft and shiny!)

The solid conditioners are not that good tho.

So I have used this a lot before and it’s nice but it just crumbles up after a while. Works best when you can rub it on.

I currently use this:

Glass bottle and plastic spray thing.

people in thatched houses don’t throw stones (?)

I bet you feel/ smell much cleaner as well. Shower gel is the biggest con going.

Yeah I’ve started doing this with a posh bar I got for Christmas. Much better.

Yeah, it’s a lot more neutral. Almost an unsmell.

Switched over to reusable Ecover washing up liquid bottles in our house, try and shop in the market in town, bring a tote bag everywhere as well.

Only way was avoiding supermarkets. So greengrocers and butchers, we have a shop here that sells loads of stuff like flour, spices and rice etc loose too. Health food shops often do this.

https://www.plasticfreedom.co.uk friend shared this the other day. Gonna get some toothpaste I think.

It’s the one thing that does irk me about using Ocado - All the veg is prepacked stuff. Probably a limitation of the way the warehouse/picking/packing works but must be possible to store stuff loose and get the pickers to stick em in a paper bag without hurting the efficiency too much.

Or just have the stuff packed in paper or whatever in the first place - I’m guessing plastic keeps the stuff fresher for longer which is why it started to be used in the first place, dunno?

And their shower gel bottles are recyclable and they will reuse the tops if you take them back.

Mostly it protects it from damage.

Any more than something made of paper would? Like an egg box type carton or something?

Unpackaged veg manages alright without any plastic.

Just seen there’s going to be a segment on BBC news in a bit on this

Oh it was a bit rubbish and won’t have inspired anyone

Well the reason they give is to reduce wastage through damage. I have no evidence to dispute that. I don’t buy packaged veg as a general rule though.

Bought some plastic free toothpaste/deodorant yesterday.

Slipped on a discarded piece of plastic on the way to train station this morning.
