Sometimes it is nice to have a thread just for one game :slight_smile:

Have just preordered on the back of the reviews. Really looking forward to this as haven’t played it since Gamecube. At the time I thought this was my favourite game of all time.

I’m definitely getting this when it comes out. Love the original on Game Cube and have played it again fairly recently on the Switch version so really looking forward to see what the remake brings to the table on the PS5.

So far its Re2make for me with RE4 a close second

I legit beat RE4 in one sitting ive NEVER done that for any game

Probably my favourite game series, despite some shockingly poor low points. I tried to play 5 and 6 recently, they’re abysmal.

RE2 remake is in my top 10 games of all time. I’ve played it a lot. It’s pretty much perfect imo.

I’ve played 1 (Deadly Silence version lol), 2 remake, 4 and 7. Only one I didn’t like was 7, the others are top top tier.

RE4 I’m mixed on. I never liked the stop-and-shoot controls, Ashley, or the island section. When Dead Space came out a few years afterwards I thought it was far better and I didn’t go back to RE4 afterwards.

played the demo of 2 back in the day, didn’t like it, felt really clunky. played 4 when it came out because of all the hype, it was pretty good.

Played the chainsaw demo and its alright but only just played through the HD remaster recently and man is that a long game. The longest RE game surely?

I’m more of a fan of the old survival horror style than the more action-y ones, but the RE1 remake is one of the best games ever and RE2R was very good too.

Really wish they wiuld stop trying tomake everything intersect with Wesker and Chris etc, retconning stories. Its such a bad route to go down and makes everything so predictable.

Gonna have to buy a ps5 for the slew of new silent hill games too.

Only ever played one, CODE:Veronica, and found it find. Scary and clunky, even at the time.

Not bothered mostly, but my mate rates it as his all time favourite series. He is constantly telling me to get into it.

Loved 4, found the others I’ve played fine but completely forgettable. Played a few and still dunno who Umbrella are

RE4 is probably my favourite game ever, just so much fun. Nice speedrun here with loads of tips for beating the game too (turns out those smoke grenades are actually useful):

watched all the films last year, some of the later ones were surprisingly alright, or maybe my brain had melted by that point due to watching them all in quick succession, who knows

The Revelation games aren’t bad either.

Never really played the originals but did play the Res 1 remake on Gamecube and thought it was great. Recently bought the Res2 and Res3 remake bundles and enjoyed Res2. I realllllllly didn’t like the Mr X part where he’ll invincible and strides around the house comin to get ya. Scared the bejesus out of me
