Strong agree. Absolutely incredible game.
I think I’m approaching the end of the first long Grace section and it has ramped up a lot.

didn’t play quite as much this weekend as I hoped for (I think I’m toward the end of the first major Grace section) but I wanna echo that yeah, this has been incredible!
I think I am over halfway and would also say it’s incredible.
A lot of the time in the other games I find the set pieces, bosses and enemies that follow you around too stressful, complicated or difficult. But in this, I have found everything well paced and fun.
Started Requiem today. Brilliant start. Just had to stop playing for the evening, as it’s freaking me out too much. Some of the bits with Grace are properly tense.
The boss fight I just did, I cannot believe that was running on switch 2, amazing.
I kind of wish I got it on Switch now.
Xbox won out as I have every other RE on that platform already, but needing the TV is severely limiting my playtime ![]()
This game is amazing eh? Most I have enjoyed a game in several years.
Finished. What a ride.
Had a mammoth session last night as it kept ramping up I just couldn’t stop. Properly great game.
On a scale of resi 4 to resi 7 where does this lie on the scare scale and hoe much of it is jump scares
7
Work and general life has been so busy rn and I’ve still barely had a chance to really get back to this. However I am at the Leon bit. You know. With the place.
I think they’ve been careful to get a really good balance between the two, and the way it meshes is really impressive too. It’s spooky and fun! The action is ridiculous.
I am an absolute wuss and nearly didn’t buy this, but I loved RE4make so much I had to jump in; and I haven’t found it too bad. The violence is bloody but a bit silly, like all RE games. Leon’s sections have basically picked up where 4 left off.
The horror / psychological warfare of Graces section is more the anticipation of what that weird sound is or fear of sneaking round the next corner knowing you haven’t saved in a while. There are a couple of jump scares but nothing horrendous. The one that freaked me out most was a power cable falling down
Graces sections feels like if you remade RE1 in first person, to me.
If you have a fear of spiders, that might be tricky.
Otherwise I’d say jump in. It’s too good to miss
Thank you
kind of what I was hoping to read. Sounds like it may be just about palatable for me if its in anyway comparable to RE2MAKE/REM4KE in terms of horror.
The worse parts sound like manageable chunks - maybe one for the sale but Im deffo encouraged!
The dread of Mr X following you around in 2 was probably more of a sustained scare than anything I’ve encountered so far in this I’d say
Maybe controversially my favourite Resident Evil?! Incredible stuff
I’m about 7 hours in, and it might turn out that way for me. Having a blast.
It’s gonna be right up there for me based on what I’ve played so far.
I’ll try and rank the (half of the) series (I’ve played) when done
