Hmm, sorry Laefls I didn’t realise it didn’t put the posts back in the same order unless you took them all out at the same time. Not great.

I’ll try to resolve it (probably I’ll need to create a new thread with an opening post).

This isn’t really feasible. I’m not about to start assuming any new user who posts in such a thread is a troll and, in fact, for the thread in question I specifically want to leave it open in case anyone wishes to discuss stuff directly affecting them and that could well include new users.

You know what is strange, people will almost unquestionably believe a victim of other violence without asking for proof, if it is sexual violence then some people always throw massive doubt on the victim.

Also, burden of proof shouldn’t be solely on a victim to prove something happened, it is also down to a perpetrator/accused to prove it didn’t happen.

Edit: @ttf already got to this and covered it much better.

What i don’t get is why a bunch of men have to rehash the same shit conversation EVERY TIME. Every fucking time. Like this isn’t any different from any other allegation that has come out yet here we are again watching people have the SAME CONVERSATIONS over and over and over. It’s fucking baffling and stressful and painful.

Unfortunately, I’m sorry to say that it appears there are numerous prime examples of what might be termed ‘classical sealioning’ in this thread in which we find ourselves, although determining whomst among us are the perpetrators is a somewhat arduous labour to say the very least, and indeed we may find that an objective truth on the matter eludes us 'til the very end, for who is to say what comprises a thing which is tr

Because quite frankly, we’re collectively miles behind where we should be socially - whenever we discuss these things, it’s almost like a massive group therapy session where we’re all trying to work out where we are and where the right place for us as individuals to be is. I hope that each time we have those debates it helps crystalise ideas for someone else and moves the collective forwards (although sometimes it definitely feels like a waste of time). Unfortunately what you’re seeing is a group of men having trouble unpicking an entire history of patriarchy and entitlement and I can’t imagine how awful that is to see from the other side.

Why some people think those extremely challenging conversations are appropriate in the initial threads rather than elsewhere (create a new thread!) is kind of beyond me though.

KindRegards traced back to a long-term DiSer who’d been banned several times. They were based near Brighton. I can’t be 100% sure though so won’t say who, but i don’t think it was CG, as much as he’s a jobby as well and shouldn’t be allowed to return.
