Firstly, I know I know - I’m not a respected children’s author. I’m never going to have a catalogue of globally loved stories. However if I was Roald Dahl I’d have done things a little differently.

The Princess AND The Pea? That’s a lot going on. I reckon he should’ve padded things out, made them into two separate stories. Then if there’s enough interest you can make a shared pea/princess universe.

I never understood why someone would be able to feel something underneath loads of mattresses or why it was important. Just did not get it.
