Great start. Enjoyed it this year, but we stayed too far away from the centre of town and missed a lot of the late night programming which was a bit of a kicker, but got better accommodation this year so lookingforward too it.
The Dutch really are spoilt for amazing festivals.
The hotels in the centre are pricey. Cheapest non-hostel place I could find in the centre was just over €100 per night. (Not as bad as Utrecht though).
Freaking me out a bit that it’s 10 years since the Xiu Xiu Twin Peaks show
Very tempted by this. Travel from Cork is a killer though.

I’ve been tempted by this too, any tips on areas to stay, how to keep costs down etc
I have done next to zero research 
I just went on booking / hotels dot com and looked for the cheapest hotel near the venues. I googled and found a map of last year’s venues so assume they will be the same this year.
of course now I see the fest passes are sold out, boo! might keep an eye out still for resales, hadn’t clocked it was so popular. Great names added to the second wave too - Kim Gordon!
TicketSwap is the app for resale passes I think.

The two main venues are Amare and Paard, so ideally you’d want to find somewhere that’s close-ish to those. Last year I was in the hotel right next to Amare, but they’ve refurbished it and massively hiked the prices. So this year I’m in the EasyHotel in the centre, which is about equidistant from both of those, and looks fine as a place to crash.
There are also hostels and capsule hotels, but I need my own space too much to have considered those.

Less than 2 weeks to go. Someone finally made a clashfinder so I’m figuring out what I can see. Some horrid clashes on the Saturday.
