Get the impression from my parents’ generation that Boomer history classes were basically wall-to-wall the Wars of the Roses so it probably made sense back then.

I used the phrase Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet to remember it. Easy to remember cos those are the colours of the rainbow
