I have a sneaking suspicion that the house he’s been staying in for the first couple of episodes is effectively an all expenses paid holiday for Rick and his wife

Makes me want to drive around France and eat all the cheesy streaky things

I just can’t wait to get back to my kitchen in Reading and try recreate these recipes for myself.

that bit with the hippy person at the new age vineyard

“So, hippy person, does this mean anything or is it all just a load bollocks?”

“Well Rick, we’ve been here developing these techni…”

looks bored and annoyed “I’ll tell you what I think. I think it doesn’t really matter does it, as long as it makes you happy”

Right, drinking game for tonight’s episode. Drink every time Rick:

  • eats cheese
  • eats some kind of steak
  • asks if French cooking is really all it used to be
  • shot of him driving in his convertible

Hammered already!

I’ll be running out of beer quick then

This series is actually beautiful. Love the pace of it

Is absolutely beautiful down that corner of France

It’s quite interesting just how different Rick comes across in France vs Mexico. Relaxed and content in France and curious but maybe not very comfortable on Mexico?

Collioure is absolutely stunning btw. Love it there.

Right fuck this, I’m gonna save up and move to France.

Rick in Berlin was the best. Just going round rolling his eyes and barely concealing his contempt for all the poncey intellectual minimalism.

Rick in India… problematic.

just finished watching this series, really fucking enjoyed it. france just looks fucking great and i wanna go live there and drink good wine and eat good food by the sea.
