Ridiculous music rip-offs

I can’t imagine how many times this has been re-pressed and how many second hand copies are knocking around so no idea how they’ve arrived at this price point

Finally, a vinyl pressing of My Favorite Things!

I love Underworld, and think they’ve contributed so much to electronic music. Along with Leftfield and the Chemical Brothers, they dragged me out of my indie-kid ‘all dance music is bollocks’ phase.

However, 25 quid for a single. Track, remix. Not even an EP.

That is egregiously overpriced

To be fair that is an elaborately packaged special edition double album version (but the second disc is just so you get the stereo and the mono versions). You can get it a bit cheaper elsewhere, but not much. Much as I love that record I couldn’t imagine wanting to pay that much for it.

Even the digital version is £6! For a new version and the version they released on their live album. Ridiculous.

Ah but it’s a Limited Drop though!

not the music itself, but found someone on Discogs trying to charge £13 postage for one £13 album!

There’s definitely a lot of sellers on discogs who try to make a profit on the shipping so that the listing itself gets to the top when you sort price low to high. Having said that though the shipping policies since they changed them are a nightmare so it could just be a mistake.

Wait I even confused myself reading that list, it would be £4.50 for an album. Oops lol

Nearly clicked to buy something the other day that was charging £5.60 to send a single CD in the U.K. Twice as much as anyone else. As you say, they price low to get at the top of the list and annoyingly Discogs doesn’t order things by price including postage.

assumed it was a ripoff, but having checked discogs prices maybe it’s a bargain actually!

Yikes

But Oxfam are a charrritttyyy etc

Hey if I can give £150 to charity and flip this for £250 online …

Not suprising some of those big 00’s albums that had a really limited pressing are now going for big sums.
