I’m going to be looking for this now whenever someone’s holding a newspaper. It’s going to bring me right out of the film.

I’ve deliberately avoided listening to the Wilhelm Scream out of context for this very reason. I know I’ve heard it countless times but because I’ve got no frame of reference I don’t notice it.

Oh I’ve just remembered one!

On Dinner Date, when the guy goes round to the house of the woman he’s picked, he’ll usually bring flowers round. And rather than leaving them in some water, the woman will then take them into the taxi with her.

Dinner Date is irksome in many ways but that’s one of them.

I used to avoid this on Arrested Development until I realised that they were spoofs.

Ha, yes. Also you sometimes get bonus bits, but once you’ve realised it’s just annoying as fuck you can skip away.
