RIP Bill Paxton

He was ace in Edge of Tomorrow as well, as the hard sergeant pushing the cocky guy (Tom Cruise) around.

Agreed, decent film that and he’s one of the best things in it. Drops a few Aliens references as well.

2x performances that stand out for me

No Way Out - just a great movie and he’s great in it

True Lies - not the greatest Cameron/ Arnie movie, but Bill does a great turn as a slimy used car salesman

Erm? Either you’re confusing him with Costner or your confusing the title of a Bill Paxton film with No Way Out?

Ooops - meant One False Move

Thanks for keeping me honest Theo

I’ll be honest @bugduv, I think it’s one of those films that doesn’t make much impression if you first see it when you’re in your 30s. It’s a film for boys who just discovered breasts.

Actually wasn’t sure if you were going to tell me I’d been Wolfcastled

one of his lesser known roles New Order - Touched By The Hand Of God (Official Music Video) - YouTube

Ha. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow so that explains it

I wonder if it’s aged well, I loved it as a child.

Never seen One False Move - so expensive on DVD as well :open_mouth:

I’ve not seen it for a while - would love to watch it again

The bad guys are proper nasty

it’s good man. track it down on the dark web somewhere. some amazing performances in it, not just from Paxton. dark film

Do you have any idea how disrespectful that is?

I remember picking that up from CD-Wow back in the day for £3…

If anyone wants to watch some vintage early 90s Bill, the episode of Tales From The Crypt he did with Brad Dourif is available online:

Happy #AlienDay everyone!
