I love that photo so much
ahhhh fuck.
Really evocative. The trepidation on the Belgians’ faces despite there being loads of them there is still amazing.
awww man
shouldn’t be shocked by this but really am. what an icon
named one of my rats after him
What a player. Can’t say I was surprised to see the cause of death, but on the pitch he was so much more than the cartoon of later years. I’m old enough to have watched that game against England live. That second goal…
Can’t believe he was only 60. Just felt like someone whod be way older
Used to hate him for the hand of God but now I just laugh when I see him outjumping that tory prick Shilton
Not a great shock given his recent health problems. Best remembered for when his feet did the talking and, if you’re Scottish, when his hands did…
honestly, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, I’m amazed he made it to 60 tbh
That was exactly my thought too
Really sad when you consider the state of him in the past few years, dependencies and poor health. Hope people can remember his talent as it deserves to be.
Feels like he definitely packed more than 60 years worth of living in.
After watching the documentary I think he’s the best of all time. It changed my personal opinion of him too. He was as much a victim as an instigator of certain issues.
If you haven’t seen it already, do watch. It’s an amazing documentary film.
Pele never played football once in Europe and Messi has had a team built around his style of play for years.
I’m old enough to remember watching Mexico 86 and remember both goals well.
The best of all time died. Shame.
is it a bit dusty in here
Just cried at this and I hate football
unreal scenes I really hope this is true
