Fair point, I’ve previously worked for a company that would fix those kind of things but that was a sort of graded goods type of deal rather than the manufacturer themselves fixing them.

First they came for the Marshall Earphones, and I did not speak out because I was not a Marshall Earphone…

Endnote - the summoning ritual worked! Should have new headphones when I get home (and they’re still in one piece!)

My girlfriend bought me some Bluetooth headphones for Christmas, but they don’t work at all. So she’s emailed about a refund. They’ve replied with this:

"Thank you for your reply. We are happy to offer you a one time exception for this case.

To minimize your inconvenience, we’d like to offer you a modified refund process for this claim only. Please do the following 2 steps in order to successfully qualify for a refund:

Use a pair of scissors and cut up the headphones into various pieces.

Reply with a photo that shows the headphones are totally destroyed and there is no possibility of repair or future use. Please have the destroyed headphones displayed on a piece of paper that also has your name, today’s date and Urbanears on it.

These tasks must be completed (destroyed cable & photo) in order to proceed, be sure to hold on to the headphones in case we require further photos or information."

Have told my girlfriend to not cut them up just yet, as it’s important to come up with some good photos.

Had something similar with an instant camera. Was told to scratch the lens and take a dated photo.

They forgot I was a photographer though so I photoshopped a scratch onto it and got sent a new one…the other one had an issue but didn’t need going in the bin!

Here you go

Shure headphones usually come with detachable cables right? Even the IEM ones because they’re considered a pro band they’re generally designed to last. My shure headphones are made of aluminium and carbon fiber and the detachable cable has 5 points of strain relief so surprised to hear

Oh just noticed this is an old post
