This is pretty good. Doesn’t seem to have made much of an impact yet but wish I’d not buried it so deep in my April list as it’s some of the best R&B of the year so far for me.
Black Messiah is 10 today! Which seems insane. It’s slowly creeping up on having as much time pass since as between Voodoo and its release too… Hey, D! Give us some more music pls!

That Alc and Erykah Badu album is finally coming out at the end of the month (28 Aug), and they seem to have binned off the not great single they released last year, for this, which is much more promising. Full 16 track proper album too, her first in 16 years…

Erykah and Alc’s album is fucking great. Leave off ‘Breezy’ and it’s so consistent all the way through. Can see myself playing this on repeat for the rest of the year.
