Please elaborate on what kind of pasta you’d do with roast lamb
I’m on the record about not liking sandwiches tbf but I’ll give you this one
Made a simple roast dinner yesterday, was great.
Roast beef (dry brined and then coated with some mustard and garlic)
Roast potatoes (nothing but salt)
Yorkshire puddings (put a bit of mustard powder into the batter)
Leeks in cheese sauce (sometimes crumble a bit of bread on the top before baking)
Peas (kids love them)
Gravy (I i couldn’t be bothered making one so I used some bisto as I was trying to watch the football at the same time)
9/10, really good plate

I do love a roast dinner. I’m rather proud of my roast potatoes, always spot on.

not really a fan, can you believe that!
I like roast pork, beef and lamb, but would never make them myself, and would also never order at a restaurant or pub.
6 or 7/10 food.

Shred it up, maybe mix it with some tomato based sauce and then penne or tagliatelle I guess? Not a culinary masterpiece but a perfectly tasty midweek low effort dinner.

Always find it difficult to avoid it going really tough when used as a leftover as well tbf. Stroganoff is a great leftover roast lamb dish but always ends up with it going very leathery when I do it.
Think it’s a bit overrated but i see the appeal
One of the least convenient meals when you’re cooking for 1 person though otherwise I’d do it more

Chef fancies a jolly-up so just bungs a load of stuff in the oven and puts their feet up for the rest of the afternoon

I think if I met someone and knew that they lived alone and then they told me they made a roast for themselves of a weekend I’d treat that person with a degree of suspicion moving forward
