Yeah theres something very off with it. No idea why hes putting it on Britpop either

hey this one’s really good! which makes the FIFA dirge even more baffling. almost like an updated and more positive Come Undone, its a song which starts off a bit slow but then quickly grows into a really decent tune. main criticism is it ends pretty abruptly, feels like there’s another level it could have stepped up to. and I don’t mean Dane Bowers! haha! are we done yet? fucks sake hes got one with Bon Jovi

who the hell are ā€˜Jesse & Joy’. its quite a plodding almost country inflected duet for the first 2.45 or so then it breaks down into a really weird bit where the backing sounds like Sexy Boy and Robbie is talking asking his Grandma if she’s decorated heaven. this is the sort of weirdness and ā€˜what are you doing’ thing I’ve been wanting to hear a lot more of it. it doesn’t last long before it’s back to the plodding duet though. not awful, not great, pleasingly odd middle bit

This is an incredible bit of work btw. I’ve nothing to add, but it’s worth saying.

Cheers mate. Unlike Robbie, I have regrets though

Mainly putting Bodies so low in the list, I’d imagine.

when an artist goes ā€˜back to their roots’ it usually sounds like a pale imitation of what they once were but not in this case. Pretty Face could easily come from Life Thru A Lens and its pretty good as well! I can’t say whether this is a genuine attempt from Robbie to go back to his good old days or if he’s just getting that Oasis hype and jumping on it but either way its a decent song with a deceptively catchy chorus

and thats THAT, Robbie’s releases have been rated. am I going to keep up with it as new songs come out? not sure I can be arsed, didn’t really enjoy it in the end. When I started I hoped to come across some batshit moments or bangers which went under the radar but they were in short supply, if anything, there were so many dirgy ballads that all roll into one, that its actually put me off the lad a bit. Would I do this again? No
