I also say that in some ways the cost is part of the placebo effect.
It’s finally worth noting that a lot of people will only use homeopathy as a last resort, which means they might see improvements to a condition that goes away for a different factor, especially if it’s some kind of allergy that has been unusually affected via strong seasonal situation.
I dont think theres anything wrong with being suspicious of vaccinations. I think DeNiros son was deeply autistic and he puts it down to vaccinations.
My older brother reacted very badly to the MMR so my parents decided against getting me immunized.
My thinly veiled gets the flu vaccine every yewr, and by her own admission gets “flu-like” symptoms as a result.
I’m not saying theres some huge conspiracy to control populations by putting stuff in vaccines, but i dont think its completely implausible that some contamination can and does happen here and there, with fatal results.
Me too. After being put in the hospital to recover from it, I now have multiple auto-immune problems. Maybe it’s worth fucking up 1 in every thousand people or whatever, but vaccines have my skepticism for sure.
Not everyone can get vaccinated, some may not be medically strong enough to, or may not be old enough to.
Not getting vaccinated when you can is an inherently selfish thing to do.
My wife works in vaccinology and I see the ridiculous hours and restrictions that they have to work through just to get the simplest things done. I find it fascinating hearing about how the entire process of an idea for a vaccine right through to whether it makes sense to spread it through a population in order to eradicate something that’s killing millions.
The testing they go through is incredibly extensive, and the bullshit conspiracy theories you hear behind something that’s sole purpose is to give us a better chance of existing as a species is mind blowing.
That’s his prerogative. That link has been disproven in more ways with more time, money and effort than it ever deserved. Time, money and effort that could have been put into something actually useful instead.
Flu vaccine is about not being a carrier and passing it on to someone with a compromised immune system who could die from it.
All I hope is that someone doesn’t read this anecdotal bullshit and use it to formulate their opinions.
where is the vomit emoticon? you think there is genuine (not for profit) research going on?
“all the more reason not to take away from what is there” i am preparing to hear. doesn’t have to be all vaccines, but no reason some deserve further investigation.
Where do you stand on mandatory vaccination?
Or mandatory vaccination for refugees entering the country from less fortunate places where illnesses like TB are endemic?
How much does the for profit aspect matter, if the results save people’s lives?
Not to mention that Wakefield’s original bullshit study was literally shit out in order to help him sell a multi-vaccine solution, not out of any sense of crusading public health heroism.
You are kidding right? Scientific research is a badly paid, highly demanding job that requires you to have a doctorate to be able to do anything meaningful. A huge amount of the research is being done by universities and not-for-profit organisations.
There is always further investigation. This is scientific method. That’s how it works. Every vaccine goes through extensive testing that includes testing in humans. Saying stop until further investigation is as ridiculous as Trump saying “We need four months while we work out what’s going on with these countries”.
