Aye message boards have been my jam for fucking forever.

Was really into Rollercoasters so posted loads on Thrill Ride, then Thrill Network. My claim to fame is coming up with their user rank levels that they still use a decade later. Also posted on Coaster Sims.

Of course I also used to post on Muse.mu and the Edge Forums. And the Douglas Adams Continuum as well.

Still lurk on SABRE and Rail UK these days as well.

But DiS is the only place I have ever meat anyone from.

Major lurker, sometime poster on Atease but man that place was impenetrable. Last login outside of scoping out a new rh album was probably 10 years ago though. The music forum turned me on to some great stuff though.

atease was wiped a year or two ago. accidentally I think, and has restarted but it’s basically dead apart from a few GC shitposters. I remember logging in a bit around the Old Trafford gig and AMSP release but otherwise it I posted on it during sixth form and uni (went to a few meets).

Gen Chat was fucking horrendous, and the main RH pages were also really weird, but the sports, news, TV/film and music sections were really decent.

Internet DJ and MMAJunkie are possibly the only forums I remember posting on prior to posting on DiS, otherwise it’s been a motley assortment of IRC channels and comment sections.

Currently aside from DiS I mainly post on twitter and reddit and occasionally the DiEM forums.

Just reminded me I used to go to regular Wednesday night chat sessions with people from the 2000AD newsgroup. Great great fun, but also it’s weird realising you’re cooler in your thirties than as a teenager.

NME’s angst boards many moons ago, then alt.angst, I post a lot on Reddit too under a variety of names. /r/LetsTalkMusic often gets some good discussions going but the main music board is shite.
