Yep, that’s mine! Glad you enjoyed it!

They’re sending me a copy of the record so I’m hoping it’s the deluxe vinyl, but that’s my only copy…

Unsurprisingly I absolutely love this

Pulled the trigger on the standard vinyl.

I dearly hope that the download comes in lossless. Fingers crossed its a Bandcamp link! (I think it will be…). Looking forward to your mix in decent headphones.

This has 3 ambient interludes among a heftier dose of IDM so I’m gonna shamelessly bang it in this thread

Couple of lovely ambient tracks from techno producer Wata Igarashi on his new label

My thing seems to be posting stuff that doesn’t quite fit this thread but also doesn’t go anywhere else.

Anyhoo, the new DJ Python record is astounding. A bit too drum based to be ambient, but probably fits in with the beat-driven end of modern composition. Feels somewhere between Shackleton and DJ Shadow.

A little gutted that it doesn’t seem to have a vinyl release.

It’s really good innit?

Please do introduce these things into this thread, lovely clarity on first listen, like being rained on. Beautiful.

In lieu of a cancelled ambient gig I was due to be playing at alongside Toby Wiltshire and Field Lines Cartographer, we’ve pulled together an EP of new music where all proceeds will be donated to the Trussell Trust to support foodbanks. Both of them are amazing artists and it’s a great little collection of ambience.

This new release from a duo in Liverpool on Forest Swords’ label sounds lovely.

I saw one of the duo (Duvall) live at the end of last year, it was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time, looking forward to this!

Yeah there always seems to be a really cool experimental scene up in Liverpool that never really breaks out of it, so it’s cool to see Mr Swords giving it some shine.

Yeah I played a gig with Lo Five, who runs Emotion Wave there, last year. There’s an amazing north west scene around Liverpool, Preston and Lancaster. Would recommend checking out him, Polypores, Dublock, and Field Lines Cartographer.

Not aware of any of those, only really know of Forest Swords, Mugstar and a couple of others making leftfield stuff around that area, always seems to be weighted more towards Manchester. Will investigate those!

About to have my first listen. Top marks for having a track titled “whelmed”. Long have a I wondered in what context I should use it (I suspect I will be using it for this).

Haha thanks! It may be an oblique reference to some wonderful dialogue in the cinematic masterpiece ‘10 Things I Hate About You’…

Hope you enjoy!
