Only listened to it 1½ times so far, but I’m enjoying this debut solo album from Ana Quiroga:
Dark ambient / drone; engrossing sound design with some good beats thrown in at times too.
Related to which, this event in November piqued my interest enough to plan a trip to London for it:
(For those who don’t know, Imaginary Softwoods is John Elliot from Emeralds)
- I do like that latest Imaginary Softwoods record
- Why is ‘everything’ in bloomin’ London?
Maria W Horn in London on Nov 5th
Really enjoying the new one from 404.zero. Dystopian abstracted dark synths, electronics, drones and soundscapes.
(is enjoy the right word? Dunno. It’s good though.)
First little diamond so far for me from ACL’s autumn ambient/drone preview.
Six tracks of mostly minimalist looping, droning sound recording loveliness.
Not only does Kaya North have the album cover of the year award already in the bag, but might have album of the year there as well.
Dark atmospheric experimental drone, with a serious sense of foreboding and dread. Currently on my 3rd spin through and can’t get enough.
This record is utterly astonishing. Had it on the car really loud earlier and almost fell off the road.
Big fan of The Deontic Miracle: Selections From 100 Models Of Hegikan Roku.
Will check this out asap
Like a lovely dubby weighted blanket. Supremely soothing stuff.
Put this on just now - absolutely immense, thanks for the recommendation
Thanks for the recommendation! Will take a listen. Just not in the car.
Why have I never been in this thread before?! Lots to investigate
Look at this ridiculous lineup all on one night
Saw this recommended in a FB group and it’s great
An ambient discord pal is going and I am incredibly jealous
I am going too
