Just had very different attitudes to what constitutes a night out. On a night out, in her words, she liked to be “horrible”, which made things a bit difficult. She could sometimes be a bit unpleasant on drugs, and was pretty anal on what drugs to take, etc, etc. Preferred to go off and meet other people (even when she was with her friends) than stick around with me.

We did see some good things together and it’s pretty sad cause it was one of our main shared interests

It did make me question whether you can have a stable relationship when you’re going out every other weekend getting pilled up. Guess it’s different for different people

Finally got Planetary Assault Systems - Arc Angel and given it a few spins. Great record, one of my favourites of the year probably.

New DJ Kicks from Daniel Avery is streaming too. Only a few tracks in but sounding decent so far: http://www.dj-kicks.com/danielavery/

Picked this up at the weekend. Great stuff.

Yup me too. Nice for these to finally see the light of day

Kind of gave up on Boddika when he outed himself as a big racist.

hmm. i’d missed this somehow. is he the techno ten walls?

:unamused:

what a ball bag.

New Peder Mannerfelt 12", Equality Now, on Numbers this time. Really strong and varied year for him

I’ve just come across Crooked Man. Wowzers. Really loving this. Apparently a lot his stuff came out a few years ago but has only just been rereleased by DFA.

Good piece on dark techno on bandcamp by the ever-excellent Joe Muggs (who might have posted here for a bit? I can’t remember).

Would also add Pole Group (https://polegroup.bandcamp.com/) and Bunker NY (https://thebunkerny.bandcamp.com/), who I never seem to shut up about.

Also in Bandcamp news, this is good (and free):

This and that massive compilation boxset they’ve just done have marked Giegling’s graduation into taking the piss territory.

Although speaking of Giegling, I really like this.

Really want to go to Bassiani (and also Tbilisi, which is good because it would be a bit far to go for a clubnight).
