He’s been discharged and is apparently ok. But it was a pretty worrying turn, had to be treated with oxygen etc. Bielsa went straight off to visit him at hospital yesterday

It’s painful as a neutral watching a team like Ipswich who are so crap but also woefully out of luck. Pennington might be one of the worst centre-halves at Championship level - looks like a fish up a tree.

these things go hand in hand though innit when yr so lacking in confidence like they are things are more likely to go against you

FWIW we weren’t even that good yesterday, we just took our chances when they came, a better team would have punished us (and have at times this season)

Forest have a slim chance of gate crashing the playoffs. We’d have another 4 points on the board too, but for some iffy refereeing in the previous two matches. Unbelievable given the actual performances. For better or worse we’ve left behind Karanka’s cautious passing game and embraced MO’N’s direct counter attacking approach. We’re rarely controlling possession but we’re pressing higher up and creating so much more.

I think it’s unlikely either will get in. No chance of beating whoever comes third over two legs. I thought Derby were pretty short of ideas, Huddlestone looked really short in the first half, allowed us to win the ball high up the field several times. What’s the verdict on Lampard?

Jury’s probably still out tbh. I think that, given time, he will be a success. He wants to play attacking, attractive football but still a bit hampered by the older players (like Huddleston, Johnson, Bryson, Nugent) brought in by previous managers. Can’t see us getting up this season but, that said, he is a breath of fresh air at Derby
