Frank Lampard in charge of his first competitive match tonight as Derby County host Reading in the Championship.

SATURDAY HIGHLIGHTS

Championship: Bristol City vs. Nottingham Forest; Milwall vs. Middlesbrough; Sheffield United vs. Swansea City (1730)
League One: Sunderland vs. Charlton Athletic (1230); Peterborough United vs. Bristol Rovers; Portsmouth vs. Luton Town; Shrewsbury Town vs. Bradford City
League Two: Exeter City vs. Carlisle United; Northampton Town vs. Lincoln City; Oldham Athletic vs. MK Dons

What game are you going to? I’m working booooooooooo!

Brentford v Rotherham isn’t a highlight?

Very much looking forward to seeing how a Lamps team plays

I think it’s absolutely guaranteed that my mob, Bolton Wanderers, get soundly relegated, if indeed the club survives to the end of the season.
C’mon the Trotters!

still pissed off we arent playing till Monday

Frankie bloody Lampard: who’da thunk it?
The first 11 look likely to be very different, particularly the front 5/6. He has invested in youth, brought in a bunch of young players from various places. The whole ‘doing a Derby’ thing can be put down to having an ageing squad so maybe, just maybe, this season will be different.
We have been promised attacking 4-3-3 football and a bold approach. All things considered, I haven’t felt this optimistic in years.
So Reading 4-0 Derby tonight then.

I’m just a regular neutral EFL fans pal!

Paul Warne comes across as one of the nicest blokes in football but their summer business doesn’t make me think they’ll put up too much of a challenge for your lot.

Pretty exciting times for both East Midlands teams! I think we’ll have done very well if we finish near you this season.

no squad number for McCormack or Micah this season

Such a shame how Micah’s career fell away. Easy to forget how refreshing he was when he came through. Really smart young lad, very well spoken, good trainer, positive attitude, proper grafter, on his day people couldn’t handle him. Had a few issues defensively, but honestly think they could have been ironed out if he’d left City earlier and played for the right manager.

So apparently Derby winning tonight will LOWER expectations with Frank Lampard according to Sky’s tired punditry team… the football season is truly back.

have Derby players got a hashtag next to their names?

Have fun with your goalless draw at Reading

This lad on loan from Liverpool’s gonna be a guddun, imho.

It’s the Mind charity squiggle logo… although I did think it was a hashtag at a pre-season friendly a couple of weeks back

Very much been enjoying Richard Keogh’s attempts to try and give Reading a goal, obviously in the hope of raising expectations for Derby

I’ve got Barnsley for L1 and Notts Co for L2.

I don’t think Derby will win it but I think they’ll come up.
