Nice grubby hardcore ep from these lot. Reminds me a bit of Koro, that kinda early punky hardcore. Great!

Anyone know where I can get the Militarie Gun cd that doesn’t cost the absolute earth. Unable to find it cheaper than £14, and slightly resent having to pay that for a cd.

Putting in both emo and hardcore cause fuck knows but yessss

saw SPACED last night. The excessive ‘two step!’ shout outs was a bit cringeworthy

Been really trying with that Militarie Gun record but sadly does nothing for me. Find it all a bit 6th form and amateurish.

Mad to me they’re the ones being pushed as the ‘next Turnstile’ when Drug Church (the better of Nick Cogan’s bands) and Fiddlehead exist :man_shrugging:t2:

Got it on right now as well, I really like it. I don’t think they’re being pushed as a new Turnstile, they’re just getting traction for being a really solid band and they have that sound where they can fit on multiple bills of different genres and not seem out of place

New Angel Du$t is a bit of a throwback

Justice Tripp has quite a look now

Yeah, i’ve been rinsing it too - it’s good fun and flies by

Also obsessed with One Step Closer all of a sudden having always just put Anxious on instead! The Songs for the Willow EP from earlier this absolute year is top tier!

haha I’ve seen One Step Closer three times and could barely tell you what they’re like live

first time - Outbreak last year. Sat down to watch them, after the first song I fell asleep
second time - Key Club last November. Was rammed and I was stood pretty much right behind a pillar so could barely see much of them.
Third time - Outbreak this year. Went out the night before and so was a bit more drunk than I expected, can’t actually recall if I saw them. Reckon I must have done but it’s well weird for me to just completely forget seeing an actual band, think OSC just have this effect on me

I do like them though!

the Faim/NO MAN show at Boom on Saturday seems to be free entry now. Last tour Faim are doing

The Spaced/Going Off show at Boom t’other night turned into a free show because it didn’t sell well. Hope this isn’t a sign of bad times for Boom.

Oh really, thats odd cause it was sold out in Manchester, on a Sunday night too. They didnt getback to me on Insta but Faim messaged and said that you don’t need proof of a previous ticket, can just turn up. Seems odd, and a bit annoying that I’m probably going to have to get there when doors open now to make sure i get in

doubt it’ll be so busy you’ll have to be there at doors

Faim and NO MAN were excellent last night

The new Johnny Booth album came out this week, it’s ace. Heavy, melodic hardcore…

Doldry were phenomenal on sat in brum if anyone gets chance to catch them. over from singapore - crusty d-beat hardcore. a lot more moshy than on record. Stenchcore! well fun

Something deeply funny to me about following a very thoughtful song about taking accountability in your scene with a Hatebreed cover

Dunno about “pushed” as much as “had a look at what Turnstile are doing and said ‘yeah we’ll have a bit of that’”

It did take me a couple listens to get on board with new Militarie Gun but I like it a lot, find it weirdly Interpol-adjacent in places (the guitars at least)
