Ocean Machine’s a great album. I have a lot of time for his Ziltoid material too.

I saw them play at The Junction in Bristol (a now defunct scuzzy pub where the punk bands played) about 12 years ago and they were ace.

Face melted. That’s great!

The new Big|Brave album is shaping up to be stunning. Really love this track & video.

Worryingly tempted to go and see Machine Head do ‘Burn My Eyes’ in full later this year. Probably one for the rolling wallet chain thread though.

Fuck that! Burn my eyes was the last great mainstream Thrash album and is one of the best debut metal albums of all time.
You’d be nuts to miss it. (I have my ticket :metal::grinning::metal:)

New album by Falaise, post-black from Italy, FFO Deafheaven, Møl etc.

Oh man they were incredible at Roadburn last year! The whole church was bowing under the weight of their sound. Massively excited for this.

This is pretty epic

That’s one seriously striking video - song is kinda by the numbers tbh

I love this band a lot more than I probably should!

I really must try and see them live if possible this time, I had tickets for the Manchester gig 10 years ago and failed to make it and have regretted it ever since!

FFO: Grind.

Mind melting head-fuckery from Finland. Psych-rock/doom/sludge/black/ambient, a bit of everything!

I wad expecting good things from this but I didn’t expect that for all it’s genre-spanning weirdness it’d be quite so coherent. Really good stuff!

Extract from new stuff by Sunn O))) on Mary Anne Hobbs show this morning. Predictably excellent.

It’s about an hour and a bit in.

I don’t know if anyone here is a fan of Spotlights? They are a dream pop / Sludge metal band from the States on Ipecac.

Their first album Tidals is as pretty as it is crushing and well worth checking out.

They’ve done some amazing covers

Mew’s she spider

and Faith by the Cure

The second album didn’t grab me but the third is out soon and I love the new single.

Anyone going to see Author & Punisher tonight?

Nope, but would like too :frowning:

They toured with The Life and Times fairly recently and did a song together, which is excellent!

I saw them at Roadburn last year - they were a bit sloppy unfortunately, but their music is just my kinda thing. Lots of groove to it. Didn’t know they had a new album coming out so this is great news!
