Enjoyed this from these mancunian BM folks. I’d forgotten about them to be honest but this new Burial LP is good. Very kvlt. No need for atomospherics or anything post, just nasty sounding uncompromising 90s BM. I like it

Burial - Satanic Upheaval

bookmarked for later :+1:

Gaerea have a new track out. Portuguese black metal, their last album is brilliant and this sounds great.

New HEADS. stuff sounds rad.

Angry, twisted noise-rock (more in the METZ area than Unsane)

I thought this was The Heads initially! Was wondering why they sounded so different from usual

Excellent atmospheric/depressive black metal from Denmark released yesterday

Buddy of mine mastered this record and says the songs they’ve released aren’t even the best on the record. They’re awesome - I’m so stoked.

I’d forgotten how good Unsettling Whispers is, not listened to it nearly enough!

Excellent, very much looking forward to the album. Big fan of them. I’ve chatted to the bassist, Chris quite a bit, reviewed their previous 2 albums, seen them live, and done some write ups of his label and other bands they’ve worked with, top blokes.

I don’t know why I never bothered to listen to Gaerea’s first album before, but it’s great.

Atmos black metal (I think, I don’t understand black metal sub genres :man_shrugging:)

Chelsea Wolfe and Jess Gowrie have a joint album delightfully called Mrs. Piss ()
This track is great, noisy, sludgy stuff.

On the noisy, sludgy theme, some nice noisy stuff coming out from Tartarus records at the mo, including this one from Throwing Bricks. “Mixing their punk beginnings with slow and crushing sludge riffs and dashes of black metal and screamo”… They remind me a little of Amenra in places.

Really liked the first song off this

Very into the new Paradise Lost. Reminds me a bit of the Rotting Christ album that came out last year which was similarly gothy-y.

The second album from Scottish folk/atmospheric black metal act Ruadh is released on Friday 22nd but Black Metal Promotion are premiering it in full on their channel, listening now and it’s great. For fans of Saor, Fuath, Sojourner etc.

Yeah I watched that as well, good bunch of eggs. Really want to see them too.

I assume you bought the Drugs EP, @UncleRetrospective - have you had any update on the vinyl situation? I know they sent a message saying there was delays a while back due to the world falling apart.
