they’re doing a live Q&A on their youtube channel at 5pm. Maybe they’ll explain what the hell the album title means!

just listened to this, pretty good, didn’t realise it was instrumental. It reminds me a fair bit of Pelican circa The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Fall.

First track from the new Fuath album released in March. This is one I’m really looking forward to, 2016’s debut “I” was one of the best of the year for me. Fuath is the other project of Andy Marshall (Saor), more aggressive atmo black than the folk black metal of Saor.

Loving this epic post doom belter from ÂGE ⱡ TOTAL

New Panopticon album in the spring! First song here:

Very early AOTY 2021 call! Released as name your price tomorrow, Maelström, the debut from Thermohaline. A nautical themed avant-garde, atmospheric post-black metal project whose members span the globe, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium to be precise.

I’ve listened to it twice today already, I think it will obsess me for a while! One of those albums that will keep revealing more things the more I listen.

I’m not sure I have enough thermodynamic oceanic black metal in my life. Time to top up!

So I posted this before and it sank without a trace but I’m posting it again because It’s fucking great.
Filthy bass, huge riffs, very pretty bits.
Sludge, alt rock and post metal.

There’s only 2 ep’s and they’re amazing, so get on it.

It is. I’m actually halfway through the previous album following listening to the new one as I’m not that familiar with it.

Went straight to Norman’s and ordered the vinyl of Isles after my first listen though!

I checked these out when you posted them the first time and forgot to give them the thumbs-up, it’s ace.

I’m sure this lot were mentioned in last year’s thread but I’m only picking up on them now, French post-black hardcore (Numenorean-esque-ish) with nice weird flourishes like sax meltdowns mid-track and guest vocals from Envy’s singer, absolutely brilliant.

The new album by Russia’s Grima was released yesterday. Another excellent slab of nature inspired atmospheric black metal. I want to stick this on headphones and go for a walk through some spooky woods!

This is really good
