Second full length of 2025 by the Swedish atmospheric/post black metal artist Tårfödd following on from February’s excellent Lidande. Like Hermóðr his stuff is becoming an insta purchase for me.
Ha, I was there and I was off my face and probably a Dick, but equally I remember being struck by the fact he was a bit of a tool. Seemed like he was massively on the pull
Great gig though! (The crack the Skye release one?)
oh hell yes new Genghis Tron on the way! at some point…

would love to see them live again one day
It sure was.
So much happier at The Black Heart than some enermodome (even though Maiden do indeed rule).
Yeah that’s the one! Remember seeing them at the Apollo on CTS too
Early Genghis was such a blast, Laser Bitch was my Myspace song for ages
Yeah it was great, wasn’t it? Very glad to have dragged myself out, was a real pick-me-up of a gig. Thought Kontusion had some pretty nifty/unexpected arena rock poses on them, like the Black Heart was a very small enormodome (with air conditioning). Also had no idea that Vaticinal Rites were yet another band with your man from Vacuous on drums, always a treat
Wormrot just annouced for Belfast in November in a room that holds 100-150 people, going to be chaos
Horrible Finnish death debut LP, full album out the 25th, single up now.
Saw these guys with Galvanizer last year and was impressed.
I can’t get enough of this album at the moment. Think it might even be better than Fixation On A Co-Worker. 30 years between them and it sounds like no time has passed at all
And the Kontusion LP on the same day!
They were awesome on Monday.
Just been jamming this noughties gem:
This is great old school DM out of Costa Rica, in case anyone missed it in the release thread.
What’s this year’s Absolute Elsewhere then so far?
for me
Yeah this is monstrous.
Phrenelith ruled the start of the year.
New Morbific one is great too.
Nothing with the massive crossover appeal of Blood Incantation though.
On rateyourmusic someone has listed a new Agriculture album for 03/10 called The Spiritual Sound…but I can’t find any source and there’s nothing on The Flenser…so it’s either a great leak or baseless rumour

It’s been announced for October, one track up now. Listening now, seems a bit of a move away from the black metal influence. Credits say Emma Ruth Rundle guests on one of the tracks.
