Rolling Hip-Hop Thread 2026

That was on the original CD, but he removed it, then put it back in a different place. Rappers are weird.

Speaking of Apple Music, Roc Marciano was on Ebro Darden’s show. Pretty good listen (if you have Apple Music).

Yep and yep

Not listened to it yet, but it’s a bit of a shame it’s only 7 tracks after a long time hyping the collab up

True. Good enough to tide us over until the Erykah and Mos Def collabs, though.

If they ever come out, of course

Baby Keem album is fine, I like that it’s short, and has a couple of tracks I really liked, but far too much stuff that’s unremarkable for 35 minutes after a 5 year gap, a couple that were straight out annoying. The Kendrick features are surprisingly unremarkable. Good to see Too $hort pop up on a couple of reasonably high profile releases already in 2026 anyway.

Was about to ask if anyone has listened to it yet. I’ve never really got on with him outside a few tracks, so I wasn’t exactly looking forward to it. May still give it a listen though if it’s short.

Enjoying telling everyone I like this guy, fun name but bangers

What is this lad playing at.

new papo2oo4 is good, more people should hit up subjxct 5 for beats instead of all relying on the same old same old imo

some good stuff on the new sideshow too. need to spend some more time with it to work out how i feel about the album as a whole, but the high points are really good

Listened to his last one and was quite good, but didn’t have a desire to return to. Will give this a listen, though.

Subjxct 5’s album with Wiki was really good. Need to give the album he did with YL a listen too

Been listening to Samara Cyn this morning. She’s great, huh? Made a playlist of everything she’s released so far…

Surprised there was nothing in here about the passing of Bob Power at the weekend. A producer and engineer who had a massive part to play in the near perfect sounds off so many rap and neo soul records. Was even shouted out by Tip in a Tribe song, but I can’t remember which.

The Chase, Part II! He’s one of those names I’d always hear related to De La Soul, Tribe, etc. But never really understood who he was or what he did until recently when I read this. Honestly, I don’t really understand half of this stuff but I love hearing people just geek out on the thing that they’re really into. You can see why he probably clicked with people like Q-Tip.
