I have always thought it was Rosco P Goldchain.

Maybe he’s a craft beer guy!

Finding it difficult to get excited about this Stove God Cooks album.

The video in the Instagram post looks like some 15 minute AI job.

Despite the bangers that he has to his name, I’m not sure an LP produced entirely by Swizz Beatz was ever a selling point

Not sure i’ve enjoyed a Swizz Beats produced track since the 2nd Ruff Ryders album.

Seems like an odd pairing.

Anyone spun this yet?

Double album is quite offputting these days, but this is only an hour. Sounds pretty good so far. Not got to the Earl Sweatshirt bit yet.

If anyone was looking for a ticket for JID tonight I’ve put mine back on Ticketmaster for resale because I’ve gotta work a seventeen hour shift tomorrow, and the thought of doing that on very little sleep has beaten me!

Really enjoying it so far. Surf Gang have been one of the more interesting things going on in modern rap production in the past few years for me, but it’s also often paired with dudes who are more about aesthetics than rapping, for better or worse. So it’s nice to see Mike and Earl do a whole project after flirting with the sound a bit recently. And they sound great on these beats imo.

They’re also perfectly placed to bridge between two sides of the underground that often feel fractured and worlds apart, so I’m rooting for it from the get go.

7.3 on Pitchfork. As an aside, I’m loving the trend on Pitchfork posts of someone posting the review score and everyone liking it.

So, because What Up Gangsta has been on a load of reels on IG recently, I thought i’d give Get Rich or Die Tryin’ a proper listen for the first time in ages and it’s a lot better than I remembered. A few tracks has that cheap sounding production that Eminem loved, but there are some proper bangers on it.

Afrika Bambaataa has died.

Glad I won’t have to avoid any more dad rap shows that he turns up on the bill for
