Remember that time Max Verstappen was killed?
From a BBC article:
Marko said that Red Bull decided not to give Lawson another chance at the Japanese Grand Prix, which is the first race this season to be held on a circuit Lawson has experienced before, because āwe were worried that his self-confidence is so damaged that he couldnāt bring his normal performanceā.
Of course, nothing builds up confidence more than a massive, public demotion in front of the worldās sports media. Man, imagine working for these hyenas, grim.
The bit I thought was most damning from that was him claiming that Yukiās performances in the last two races are have changed his mind about whether heās ready for a Red Bull seat.
The manās literally the definition of a weathervane.
He really is having a mare
tbf itās the first time heās driven that car. I wouldnāt want to try and slide the back around in that situation in a car Iāve only had 5 mins of experience in. Poor guy - hope he can have a solid set of FPs and a good weekend.
On demo tyres as well, so a completely different grip level to what heās been using so far this season.
Steering lock on an F1 car is bobbins as well. They have to calibrate a unique steering lock setup for Monaco just to get around the hairpin at the hotel.
Just catching up on DTS - theyāve made Bravi look a fool, saying he thinks theyāve got Sainz in the bag while Vowels is at the point of a handshake deal.
Shades of Otmar at Alpine losing Alonso and Piastri.
COME ON, YUKI
really glad i woke up early for that oneā¦
Well it was nice while it lasted eh
Anyway, how are things with Mohammed Ben Sulayem these days? Feels like a while since weāveā¦
lando u ok hun
What else can you predict?
My main interest this weekend is the rumour PIF potentially buying Aston Martin. Surely that would be young Lance done for particularly if Max is coming in.
Still donāt know how Verstappen is driving that car, grudging admission he is a very good driver.
Cant imagine Daddy Stroll wanting to sell though. A couple of years down the line if all the planning doesnāt come together perhaps, but I canāt see him putting in all this investment and pulling out before itās had a chance to bear fruit.
There is the 20% Aston Martin stake going for PIF to become a minority shareholder, but theyāre unlikely to get much sway with Laurence owning the majority, so dunno how appealing thatāll be?
Christ
Aw man my boy Yuki not going too well is it but i think at least hes safe for a while. Lando was looking all over the shop this weekend, just seems to lose the plot when the pressure ratchets up but good result all told. Actually feel for Max there tbh but happy for Oscar.
I think I agree with Red Bull the tiniest amount possible however, the amount of shenanigans Verstappenās pulled over years along with Horner waving this photo around maybe just donāt lose your head about it and move onā¦or have a reserve driver pull the same manoeuvre 20 times to prove you are right.

Always so disingenuous with Horner and Red Bull, he really is a twat. A photo tells a tiny part of the story. If you took a photo 5 seconds later heās back on the track like nothing happened. So what? In that photo he could be travelling 300 mph with no plan to make the corner at all. Piastri was ahead, then he braked, Max didnāt, it wasnāt hard to see from, you know, the film? No doubt Mclaren could produce a photo showing Piastri ahead half a second earlier.
Simply cannot wait until Horner is gone from F1.
