it’s a tough one isn’t it? If it’s true then sure she should be taken to task for it, but maybe she was at the time and as you say, there’s only one reason that’s being brought up right now.

People say and do stupid shit all the time and in the grand scheme of things, while what Cam said was awful it’s nowhere near as bad as say, Ray Rice or Jameis Winston or Ben Rothlisberger (the most protected man in sports it seems), and it is good that has apologised, now he should move on and never do it again, but it won’t stop me from thinking a bit less of him.

It doesn’t make a difference to Cam’s situation if she has said dodgy stuff in the past - I’m 100% sure that didn’t factor into his response/behaviour, so it doesn’t alter any criticism of him. But she should for sure be held to account on that (although it did sort of look like ‘oh boy, here we go, a road trip with my dad and his terrible racist jokes’, as in cringe worthy comedy as opposed to laughing at the actual joke. Not explaining myself very well, and it’s still bad, just not the same as being an advocate of racist jokes in the first place)
