I love that track so much. Bit meh on the rest of the album, but that one’s a blinder.

From their more recent output, I really rate Narrow Stairs plus there’s plenty of stuff to love on Codes & Keys and Kintsugi! Weirdly I probably revisit Plans the least out of their catalogue.

Transatlanticism is one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. Haters can fuck off.

Currently listening to that last Panda Bear album. Absolutely mint.

Vs. The Grim Reaper? It is absolutely mint. I like to combine it with the two EPs he released before and after to make it into a heady double album.

yeah that one. that and Person Pitch are the only Animal Collective related records i listen to these days

No love for Tomboy?

remember it coming out and not being fussed. I have to be in the mood for him but i’m up for another listen

Stuck on the first Futureheads album on the way to work yesterday. Holds up really well, just basically all the best aspects of the early 2000s Brit indie scene. A lot funnier and harder in parts than you’d remember based off of the singles, and a great headphone album with all the interplay between the voices and instruments. Not sure it’ll ever get old to me.

Also one of the only albums to make group chants/“woaaahohhs” acceptable

This is so great:

its brilliant. me and my old housemate would listen to that a lot while playing mario kart and drinking

their harmonies have always been top - that Rant! album is good. bunch of sea shanty covers and the like

And Hounds of Love is an all time great cover

Rant! is absolutely brilliant, that and the first album are just fantastic

They barely put a foot wrong really! Just a very consistent band that went a bit under the radar after News & Tributes (it’s a shame that most of this has been removed from Spotify) lacked the ‘instant hit’ that their debut had.

Still one of my all time favourites too!

This would apply to dozens of indie rock records from 2004-2010 tbh

Biohazard - Urban Discipline still raw new york thrash hardcore, still great

i listened to SVIIB endlessly when it came out. heard it again recently after completely forgetting about it and it’s still heartbreakingly good

Listening to Muchacho now. Please give it another go. If you like his earlier stuff I highly recommend giving it another go!
