Stuck on the first Futureheads album on the way to work yesterday. Holds up really well, just basically all the best aspects of the early 2000s Brit indie scene. A lot funnier and harder in parts than you’d remember based off of the singles, and a great headphone album with all the interplay between the voices and instruments. Not sure it’ll ever get old to me.

They barely put a foot wrong really! Just a very consistent band that went a bit under the radar after News & Tributes (it’s a shame that most of this has been removed from Spotify) lacked the ‘instant hit’ that their debut had.

i listened to SVIIB endlessly when it came out. heard it again recently after completely forgetting about it and it’s still heartbreakingly good

Listening to Muchacho now. Please give it another go. If you like his earlier stuff I highly recommend giving it another go!

Muchacho is an excellent record. I still listen to it regularly - it has a really haunting quality and I love how all the lashings of delay and reverb makes everything clatter about.

I just listened to Broken Apart by the Antlers for the first time in a good while. Had forgotten how good an album that was - strong songwriting, good arrangements and his voice is crazy. The production is lovely too, so a good record to turn up loud and get lost in.

Yeah. Is/was a label. Put out stuff by a lot of people… Ducktails, Forest Swords, Rangers, James Ferraro, plus loads of people I’d never heard of before or since.
