New EP by Night Swimmers announced, with lead single, ‘Poison Berry’. Quite a bit of love for their previous EP on here , from sage, shoegaze connoisseurs. Sounds very lovely to my ears.
A dinked version to add to the excitement.

I’m a little conflicted on the latest Deary record. I like it, because it reminds me of the Cocteau’s but it doesn’t seem to have loads of personality. I think there’s some good stuff in there though - hopefully it reveals itself over further listens.

Been listening to this track a lot recently from Aberdeen shoegazers Moody Moody, belter of a tune.
I’ve also been loving the latest Whitelands album, superb dreamy vibes

New deary album is definitely a downgrade compared to the two EPs (especially Aurelia). I like it well enough, but it rarely rises above anything than ‘pleasant’. Maybe it’ll grow on me.

Was underwhelmed on the first listen but really grown on me, haven’t listened to the ep’s so interested to hear how they’ve developed.

It’s a really good album. They share a name with one of my old uni campuses. Asked them about it after a gig and turns out my hunch was right!

I’ve been listening to the Deary album every day (which is very unusual for me) and I am loving it. I was sceptical, as I found the EPs a bit tuneless, but this is a big advance.
If a Cocteau Twin can sign them to his label, then it has to be some mark of shoegaze quality 
.

I’m a huge Deary fan - think they are one of the most creative and talented shoegaze acts of recent years - loved both EPs and enjoyed their live shows a lot. somehow I managed to see them 5 times in a year at various festivals and support slots a couple of years back…I know I like this record a few listens in but I can see where you are coming from - can’t really tell the extent yet that this sinks in…and if I’m being brutally honest if I didn’t know it was them I am not sure it would standout in quite a (pleasingly) crowded genre of quality shoegaze/dream pop right now. Still…welcome to have them back and I suspect this will like the Whitelands one, in the end, end up being on the longlist of my fave record year end deliberations

Deary is really nice background Shoegaze. Did a long walk in the sun after work and listened to it twice and it was perfect for that

I’ve only listened to the Deary album while falling asleep, but i feel like there’s a bit where the music collapses into itself. I hope that happens. Idk.
Why did no one tell me that the album Blankenberge put out last year was this good. Definitely the best thing they’ve put their name to. And it’s nice to know that something good can still come out of Russia in today’s climate.
